Susan Griffin

Susan Griffin is the Publisher of the Ponte Vedra Recorder, which has served as the community paper of Ponte Vedra and the Beaches since 1969. Griffin also serves as the publisher of the bi-monthly magazine, The First Coast Register. The Register covers social events on the First Coast as well as fashion and home design trends throughout the year.
Griffin started her career in the publishing field in 1996 when she joined the Recorder as an advertising account executive. Griffin later served as the sales manager for many years before being named Publisher.

Prior to joining the Recorder, Griffin owned travel agencies in Florida and Georgia. She is very active in the community and participates in many events to benefit charity.
Griffin has also been active in the St. Johns County Chamber since 1997. She served for many years as the Chair of the Ambassador Committee and was awarded Ambassador of the Year, Pat Morgan Outstanding Service Award and Chamber Member of the Year Award. Griffin also served on many committees in the community including the Wine-Fest, Car Show and the Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament, various board positions including Community Papers of Florida, the Florida Media Association and Overlook V Office Condominium. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the St. Johns County Chamber – Ponte Vedra Beach Division as the Vice Chair, Griffin also has served as the Division Chair and Secretary. Griffin is a Rotarian and is a member of the Rotary Club of Palm Valley.

Griffin lives in Ponte Vedra with her husband, Danny. They have a daughter, Nicole, two grandchildren Ella and Rhett, and one bird and 7 cats.
