Florida born and raised, Christine Seely has been in the Food and Beverage since she was 14 – following in her parents’ footsteps. Taking culinary classes at FCTC in high school, she started at 14 as a busser/hostess and some waitressing until she was 19 , when she ventured into fine dining, in a boutique hotel environment. By the time she was 25, Christine was an Executive Chef at a hotel in Orlando. Christine came back to St. Augustine to raise her son where she grew up. In 2011 her mentor, Alhambra Theatre Executive Chef DeJuan Roy brought her in, and together they reconfigured the entire food program from a buffet for 45 years to a three course menu with full table service. Most recently Christine worked for a popular local butcher shop. She came to St Johns Food Service to add “the last side of the food world I felt important to add to my resume and to bring a chef’s point of view to how we interact with our customers.” Days at the beach, boating and fishing are how she spends her free time, “but food is my first love and my son will always be my greatest love.”
