As Party Director for NYC’s Trump Tower during the mid 1980s, Leigh Cort produced galas for the international rich and famous. She branded the name Party Doctor ™, and starred on TV for Nabisco and Lifetime TV. Leigh hosted events for the show-business/Broadway crowd in Manhattan at Sardi’s Restaurant ~ followed by The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island as Director of Catering.
From 2000-2019, Leigh ran a successful publicity company, representing historic properties throughout the East Coast that included St. Augustine historic inns and Spring Lake N.J.’s historic hotels. Leigh Cort’s “Moveable Feast’ was a regular hospitality segment on NPR radio in Jacksonville, hosting a broad spectrum of guests to discuss the hottest dining, tourism and hospitality trends in the region.
Today Leigh Cort is the Founder/President of the www.WomensFoodAlliance.com ~ an expansive hospitality organization with members in related businesses that include culinary leaders, hoteliers, event planners, restaurateurs, vintners and more. Together they cultivate and advance education, collaboration and networking for women in all fields of the hospitality industry.
