Michael Brooks

Born in Texas, son to a mechanic and school teacher.  Michael spent his youth in the Barbecue Capital of Texas, Lockhart.  Privileged to have tasted the best Barbecue this world has to offer, Michael kept this in his heart as he carried on about his life.  Finding Florida and his wife in his early 20’s, they both worked blue collar jobs, with Michael barbecuing on his days off and selling to the local farmers and field hands out by the St Johns River.  After a few years of this, a 77 Nomad travel trailer was acquired and setup to sell Barbecue in town.  County Road Provisions was born in 2014 from small humble beginnings, hard work, long hours and a loving family.  CRP is now a household name, selling Texas style Barbecue a few days a week along with catering, as well as having their product in multiple restaurants around town.  You can find their smoked provisions at Sundays Restaurant, Uptown Scratch Kitchen Food Truck, Sunset Grille Restaurant, Funkadelic Restaurant, and at concessions at the St Augustine Amphitheater.  Now there have been many bbq establishments pop up in St Augustine since their inception , but there is still only one County Road Provisions.
