With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Tran began his journey in Orlando, Florida, where he developed a deep-seated respect for Japanese culinary traditions. He moved through the ranks by mastering the technical foundations of sushi, from the meticulous art of fish butchery to the exact science of rice preparation, while building a reputation for precision and discipline. Tran has dedicated his career to the finer points of the craft, specializing in personalized Omakase service and seasonal menu development to deliver a sophisticated, contemporary dining experience.
Now as Executive Chef of O-Ku Jacksonville Beach, Tran fosters a positive kitchen culture while overseeing all aspects of back-of-house operations. His culinary philosophy is rooted in intention and care, ensuring each presentation is at its peak and that every bite is memorable for guests celebrating all of life’s moments.
